A (-1) 71 and Hector Fernandez is the winner of the 2008 Dorado Beach Pro-Am. Aaron West, Eduardo Figueroa and Hector Fernandez fired matching 71's to take the crown as Pro-Am winner on Wednesday, May 14th. A sudden death playoff and an up and down from the greenside bunker on the third playoff hole and Hector Fernandez claims his first title of 2008. Fourth place was host professional George Smith with a solid (+2) 74. The first playoff of the year featured dual birdies at the par four second hole and a sand save to claim the title. The short meeting that followed the event saw the creation of the Island Chapter Open, to be contested at Trump International November 1-2, 2008. As well as a discussion of a Professional Player's series to increase the level of competitive play among the Island Chapter professionals. The next event will be the Pro-Am at El Conquistador June 4th, 2008 at 12:30 at the El Conquistador in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Followed by the Dorado del Mar Pro-Am Wednesday June 11th, 12:30.
