The 2009 Island chapter season was off to an akward start with the Pro/Pro at Dorado Beach Monday, March 2nd, @ 12:30. The official field of 12 players went off in the windy conditions on the East golf course. Third place was the team of Brian Shaver and Eduardo Figueroa with a (+2) score of 74. Second place was shot by the team of George Smith and Jeff Willenberg with an even par 72. First place was the team of Aaron West and Jose Rodriguez with a (-2) 70.
The 2009 PR Open presented by Banco Popular will take place from March 9-15 at Trump International Puerto Rico and the Island chapter will be responsible for both the Monday qualifier and the Pro Vision simulator running from Tuesday to Sunday in the Village from 9:00-5:00. This unique opportunity allows the Island chapter members and apprentices to show case their skills during the week of the PR Open.
