Perfect conditions lead to low scores for the Pro-am at Costa Caribe, Wednesday November 5th, 2008. After a four hole playoff couldn't decide the winner, the first tie of the year was declared after matching 69's by both Jose Rodriguez, teaching professional from Trump International and Robert Moreno Director of Golf at Rio Mar Country Club. The (-3) 69's were the best scores in competition for both Robert Moreno and Jose Rodriguez this season and the victory is the first for both in an individual tournament this season. A third place tie between host professional Tony Loyola and frequent kite surfer, sometimes golfer Robert Birtel with matching (-1) 71's matched the low score for each of these two competitors in 2008. In fifth place was Rafael Castrillo Jr. with an even par 72. Points leader Aaron west shot 73 to extend his points lead over his nearest competitors Hector Fernandez, Jason Tobar and George Smith who did not participate. Robert Moreno moves up to third place in the points standings with the victory behind Aaron West (81), Hector Fernandez (71), Robert Moreno (66).
