The Island Chapter completed an important weekend on Monday with the Pro-Superintendent tournament. The event, a showcase of the agronomy industry took place at El Conquistador and included a product showcase, meet and greet cocktail party, poker tournament, practice round and 18 hole best ball tournament. Low individual professional honors went to George Smith Assistant professional Dorado Beach, followed by Hector Fernandez from Club Deportivo, third place tie was Paul Venezinao and Benny Nieves with matching 76's.
September 26th marks the Coco Beach Pro-Am followed by the third chapter meeting of the year. The tournament will be held at the future host of the 2008 PR Open the first full field PGA tour event ever held in Puerto Rico. October 14th marks the Pro's v Am's down in Ponce, Puerto Rico and October 17th Nevin Phillips will be hosting the Mahogany Run Pro-Am in St. Thomas.
