After a three hole sudden death playoff, Robert Birtel and Julio Martinez came out victorious after a (-3) 69. The 6 hole scramble, 6 hole best ball, 6 hole alternate shot format was exciting and tested all the players games. In second place we had the team of Brian Ahaver and Jeff Willenberg, who came out on the losing end of the playoff after firing an impressive (-3) 69 during the days play. Aaron West and Tony Loyola couldn't overcome a (+4) 8 on the fourteenth hole, and shot a third place (-2) 70 with five birdies in the scramble portion of the competition. Rounding out the places was host professional Alberto Rios and Plantation assistant professional Toby Baldwin, with a (-1) 71. This is Toby's last event with the Island chapter after accepting a job in Indiana with the golf teaching business Golftec.
