The 2007 PGA South florida section Island Chapter Cap Cana Pro-Am series began where it left off in 2007 with an even par 72 taking the crown at the Palmas del Mar CC on Wednesday March 14, 2007. Robert Moreno shot a steady 72 in windy conditions to take the crown. Second Place was Aaron West with a 1 over 73, followed by Jesus Rodriguez with a 2 over 74. Our Host Jeff willenberg and his staff at Palmas del Mar David Matthews and Georgir Rodriguez were gracious hosts and the golf course was in great shape due to the efforts of Osvaldo and the Palmas del Mar golf maintenance staff. Our next scheduled event is the Pro-Pro at Coco Beach Resort on March 26th. This event will be followed by the first official chapter meeting of 2007, where we will discuss the Island Chapter happenings, financial information and plans for the rest of 2007.
